1 Cor 10:13 : No temptation has seized
you except what is common to man.
And God is faithful; he will not let you
be tempted beyond what you can
bear. But when you are tempted, he
will also provide a way out so that you
    can stand up under it.

I have to give thanks today too. About an hour ago, I missed a buck, running across the road at lightning speed, by what to do be 5 feet while driving about 50mph. I swerved, hit the brakes and narrowly missed it. So I join you in giving thanks.

2 Kings 7:1 Then Elisha said, Hear ye the word of the LORD; Thus saith the LORD, To morrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria.

This is what we should do when we praise God!

Raise the roof! Sing your hearts out, O Zion! The Greatest lives among you: The Holy of Israel.” Isaiah 12:6 (MSG)

The seventh Hebrew word for praise to God is Shabach. It suggests a shout out to God for what He has done and what is doing and what He is about to do.

The Theological Wordbook of the Old Testament suggests Shabach is “used to praise God for His mighty acts and deeds.”

Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify Shabach you. Psalms 63:3 (NIV)

Praise Shabach God, everybody! Applaud God, all people! Psalms 117:1 (MSG)

Praise Shabach the Lord, O Jerusalem; praise thy God, O Zion. Psalms 147:12 (KJV)

One generation shall laud Shabach Your works to another and shall declare Your mighty acts. Psalms 145:4 (AMP)

Cry out, “Save us, O God our Savior; gather us and deliver us from the nations, that we may give thanks to your holy name, that we may glory in your praise Shabach.” 1 Chronicles 16:35 (NIV)

Let the sea in all its vastness roar with praise! Let the earth and all those living on it shout Shabach, “Glory to the Lord.” Psalms 98:7 (TLB)

With praise and thanksgiving they sang to the Lord: “He is good; his love to Israel endures forever.” And all the people gave a great shout Shabach of praise to the Lord, because the foundation of the house of the Lord was laid. Ezra 3:11 (NIV)

Cry out and shout Shabach, thou inhabitant of Zion: for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee. Isaiah 12:6 (KJV)

Get rid of all your inhibitions and just give a shout out to God for His goodness to you!
